Love INC Clearinghouse
Love INC is not an emergency organization. It takes time to evaluate and validate a request and to look for resources to meet verified needs. Love INC has no funds to meet the direct needs of individuals or families. Love INC staff looks for the resources to meet verified needs and makes referrals to those resources.
The Clearinghouse Program is the main program of Love INC. It is the entry point; a place where needy people in the Yampa Valley contact Love INC and describe their situation and the need(s) resulting from the situation. Volunteers are trained to verify the legitimacy of the need(s) and locate resources to meet the need. The entire process is done over the phone, which makes help accessible to all individuals.
Through the Clearinghouse Program, Love INC identifies gaps in community services to the disadvantaged and helps churches organize and develop ways to bridge those gaps. Disadvantaged individuals and families have access to the developed Love INC programs and church ministries such as the Clothes for Kids, Project School Supply, food pantries, a household items ministry, a gently-used furniture ministry, cooking classes, budget classes and more.
Through the Clearinghouse Program, families and individuals may be qualified for financial aid for rent, utilities, or other verifiable needs which are not being met by existing community agencies. Love INC does not duplicate services that are already provided by local agencies. Love INC does work with agencies in order to coordinate help for larger needs.
